How do you rate your writing ability? Are you a newbie just getting started? Amateur? Professional with several books under your belt? While I love to write, I’m not a professional. I don’t follow the “rules” for conventional writing. I just write because it makes me feel good. I’m not looking to get published or even for others to like what I write lol

I would consider myself a "very good amateur", based on the reviews that I've received from people when they read what I write. I don't quite have the patience to write on a professional level, and although, I don't think I would have much problem making a living off of the things that I write, I cannot, because most of what I write is a violation of Copyright law, and finding enough people who like anime-worlds enough to support me, I don't think are in very high supply. However, maybe someday, if I can a great enough story, with enough forethought about the characters, and personality details to convey realism, I may try my hand at writing a professional novel.

Too bad there wasn't a way to take what people can get from i.e. Youtube & use it for writing. People make good money doing videos on Youtube. Even those unboxing ones can have sponsors! I wonder if there is a site that is for writing, similar to those Poetry clubs back in the day.

There are platforms for writing. Medium.com, BuyMeACoffee.com, and Patreon.com are all places that I've used at one point or another to monetize my writing. It does take some time to get off the ground, and there are hoops to jump through. There's also simply just having your own website, and a subscription paywall service, which is what I may eventually do, if I really get strongly into writing again, and I feel confident enough that people have the money to spend on me.
